This was my one post last night.

Mett was a fricking surgeon last night. He sliced that D to pieces with smart, accurate, pinpoint passes all over the field. He moved exceptionally well in the pocket and even ran for a crucial 3rd down conversion. His 3rd down play was simply perfect. He was calm, smart, accurate, and extremely clutch in a huge game against a great D ON THE ROAD, which was where he struggled last year.

All of this against an always great Gary Patterson D with perhaps the best secondary in the country that will be ranked in the top 10-20 at the end of the year.

The last third down conversion of the game when he zapped a fricking laser beam to OBJ on a back shoulder throw along the sideline on like 3rd and 12 was an Aaron Rodgers special that I don't think any other quarterback in the country can make. It was Jamarcus like in 06. Outstanding arm talent.

Everyone complaining about the deep balls last year saw how he can make those throws when he has protection to step into the throw and the receiver gives him enough separation to deliver it, and he doesn't need a lot. Beckham dropped a picture perfect rainbow bomb that hit him in the hands. Other than that OBJ balled up though.

His quick decisions and awareness on those two busted screens to immediately ground the ball, one of which was in our own endzone, show he's got things figured out. He was making calls at the line all night too. Total control of our O.

The ONLY bad play was at the end of the half with no timeouts when he threw short of the goal line to a covered receiver that would have let time expire and cost us a chipshot FG.

Other than that Mett just played the best game of any LSU QB since Flynn in the BCSCG. And he did way more than Flynn was asked to do in that game.

Mett is going to make himself a first round pick now that he has an OL and Jarvis and Odell are playing their natural positions.

All I want to see now is getting TEs involved.

And you're right Carl, I love Magee for stepping up like a champ last night. But when Hill comes back, this will be 2007 LSU O all over again.

Great on 3rd downs. Think he ended up in the 50-60% completion. Could have been better but there were 3-4 drops
