1 cup of flour and 1&1/4 cups of beer. Then throw about 3 to 4 onions sliced into rings into the batter and fry them up and then drink the rest of the beer. It was so easy I thought about sharing it on here

Sidenote: Beer battered chicken strips in a countertop fryer w/ baskets is just about the worst experience in the world, ever.

Why just two onion rings? What do you do with the rest of the onion?

Egg wash, seasoned flour, knock off the excess flour, fryer at 375.

Do you just do one dredge? I find that I have to dredge, dip and dredge again to get the coating to hang on. Wonder how panko would be on those puppies...

No I made mistake it made 4 nice sized onion rings my bad, I started out with two then added a couple more. Trust me I got leftovers for a couple days.

Yea just one dredge I let them sit in the batter for bout 20 minutes also and I was so surprised that none of the batter came off in the fryer.

I'm very confused. You made 4 onion rings and you have leftovers? You must have a lot of willpower to eat only 1 or 2 onions rings at one time. Were they really large rings?
About how many rings will the mixture make, total?
I think I've heard of beer battered onion rings, but I've never used that method. I haven't made onion rings in a very long time, though. You've got me craving them.

My bad on my iPhone. Read the post above yours that should clarify things.

Now, that makes more sense! I thought maybe you were frying up some gargantuan onion rings so large that you could only eat one or two!
