And thats what im trying to say. There is no reason to waste a year of eligibility on RR, considering his situation
Waste a year? Getting him on the field will make him catch up faster than sitting him on the sidelines and unless you think he'll get jumped anytime the next 3 years, your worrying is nonsensical.
Get him some field time with Furman. Do you not remember 18 freshman and true freshman played against UNC in week one. I think he'll get on the field at Furman and will go from there. outside of the trenches and QB, there is no real reason to redshirt anybody

Bayoubengal I get what youre saying. And all those 18 freshman that played against UNC week 1 were here for the entire summer and fall camp. RR isnt even here yet and hasnt done anything with the program. And he might not even be here til next week. So he could possibly be here week 2.
And, hes 6'3 165lbs. Thats a toothpick. Hes coming in late. Redshirt him, let him get caught up at his own speed with no rush. Let him bulk up. Learn the playbook. Then you have an animal for next season. Again, we dont even know what kind of player he is yet. Nodody in the program has seen him practice yet! And were loaded at DB right now. Just like we were when Jalen Collins came. We RS him, then he became a crucial part of our D as a redshirt freshman and is now the full time starter as a redshirt sophomore.
I mean yall are talking like RR is already going to be 1 of our top DBs. He could in the future. But, hes not even here yet. We play saturday.
