How do we know the house is empty?
We don't. Which got me to wondering where Jr typically parks his car. I'll have to re-watch that last scene.

quote:"Federal helth insurance" is just like other insurance. In fact, the only difference is that you have multiple choices. You get to choose from different carriers. So youy may choose BCBS instead of the Humana major medical plan. You will all ways have out of pocket expenses.
Federal health insurance is not this horrible. That's a crappy plot device.

Wasn't it the guy from Vamanos that brought Walt the M60?

I can't see Jesse formally becoming an informant. If anything I think him and Hank may turn rogue to try and bring down Walt.
I think Lydia going after everyone is the most likely scenario at this point.
I see Jesse burning Walt's house, possibly killing one of the kids, writing Heisenberg on the wall and that starting the ensuing shite storm.

I don't know. My state funded plan pays for 80% of the cost for that kind of crap. Federal is better. It's knit picky but whatever.

yeah, but your insurance has a say in who you see. they aren't going to fork out the dough for the 'best of the best', they will pay for the 'best of the reasonably priced'

can we please stop debating how much your health insurance would cover

Well, it is a legitimate plot hole. I actually audit bills for crime victims in the state of Texas, and the state actually would pay for every day rehab and home health visits. And even if the state doesn't pay for all the charges in full, the patient doesn't have to pay anything out of pocket. The provider gets what they get
Most states, if not all, have a crime victim compensation act where the state would pay for medical bills. Therefore hank, in real life, would have probably never had to borrow money and still had great rehab services.
But that was so season 4, so who cares

I'm posting this again in hopes of some feedback:

An M60 is just such an odd choice of weapon. It's heavy as hell and hard as shite to accurately control upright, especially for someone untrained like Walt. And he has to know he wouldn't survive a minute in an all out assault on an armed and trained group like the Nazis.
It's just never sat right with me. Walt is too smart and the full-on confrontation has never been his MO. I feel like the M60 isn't for Walt, or is just a piece of a much bigger plan.
Posted on 8/26/13 at 10:08 am to Rickety Cricket
So why ask how to use it?
I think it was just an over the top way to show the viewer shite is gonna hit the fan.
And the Nazis were taking the MA back to NM because that's where they're from. I don't see it being any more than that. I really think that scene just painted how lighthearted they are about the massacre and transporting drugs, and will help juice up the show-down.

That makes sense. I just don't see him going on an all out attack on the nazis. Unless it's a suicide mission.

Mythbusters showed there are plenty of nit-picking plot holes. I'll give them a pass for the forethought to give Walt leverage over Hank, what, three seasons in advance?

This, or an ambush over the location the money is buried assuming he returns to NM.
ETA: And the Nazis stole all the equipment from the underground lab, they aren't returning to Walt's location, just their home state.

Truth. Gotta remember its just a tv show, so some things will require willing suspension of disbelief. The magnet destroying the laptop, Gus being 5 feet away from a bomb and walking after it goes off (that's more just embellishing that a plot hole), etc, but its still believable enough to be awesome.
I wasn't hating on the shows plot holes, just pointing out that those of us that really know about insurance, know hank wouldn't have never had to pay a dime and still gotten great care

And I still don't understand how Jessie came to the revelation of walt stealing the cigarette tonight. Was a big jump of logic for me
Sepinwall explains it
quote:
UPDATE: I've gotten so many emails, tweets and comments below expressing confusion about how Jesse figured out about the cigarette swap that I decided to simply lay out the chronology as follows:
1)In "End Times," to get Jesse back on his side in the war against Gus, Walt arranges for Huell to steal the cigarette pack with the ricin cigarette out of Jesse's pocket and replace it with a different pack. Saul calls Jesse to his office on shaky reasons, and Huell pats him down in a way that gets Jesse's attention. Walt doesn't use the ricin to poison Brock, but rather a lily of the valley plant that will have a similar but less dangerous effect on the boy.
2)When Jesse hears that Brock has been poisoned, he realizes that the ricin cigarette is missing, then (correctly) puts two and two together that Huell stole it, on Walt's orders. He storms into Walt's house and threatens to kill him for poisoning Brock; Walt convinces Jesse that it was Gus, not him, who wanted to hurt the boy — specifically so Jesse would come to this conclusion and murder Walt for him — and that Tyrus must have lifted the cigarettes from Jesse's locker at the Super Lab. Jesse accepts that Mr. White would never hurt a child, whereas Gus has a history of hurting children, and lets go of the theory about Huell.
3)Doctors later figure out that Brock was poisoned by a lily of the valley, not ricin, making Jesse doubt Walt's theory about Gus manipulating Jesse into shooting Walt, and leaving him to wonder what really happened to the ricin cigarette. Walt stages a phony search of Jesse's house and plants a fake cigarette (containing salt, not ricin) inside Jesse's Roomba. None of this sits well with Jesse, but he once again believes Mr. White.
4)Over the course of season 5, starting around the murder of Drew Sharp, Jesse has begun to realize that he shouldn't believe anything Walt says. Walt claims to be broken up over Drew's death, then whistles while he works. Walt claims that Mike left town alive, when Jesse knows that Walt would've never taken out Mike's guys unless Mike was dead. Walt gives Jesse a whole song and dance about how leaving town will be good for Jesse, when Jesse knows that it will be even better for Walt.
5)Having been primed to disbelieve any word out of Walt's mouth, Jesse goes to Saul's office, lights up a joint and gets scolded by Saul, who knows his relocation expert won't pick up anyone who's high. Saul orders Huell to again pick Jesse's pocket to get rid of the marijuana.
6)At the pick-up spot, a nervous Jesse reaches for his pot, and can't find it. He frantically checks all his pockets, but all he finds is a cigarette pack. Staring at the cigarette pack, and realizing Huell dipped into his pocket without him noticing, Jesse realizes that his first suspicions about the ricin cigarette were correct, and that Mr. White was manipulating him into turning against Gus, endangering Brock's life in the process.
That the ricin wasn't actually used on Brock is beside the point. Jesse knew from the beginning that Huell had picked his pocket, and that he must have done it on Mr. White's orders. He has been thinking about this often in the months since it happened — far more often and more intensely than those of us watching the show have, and in a more compressed time period. When he realizes Huell picked his pocket, and stares at another crumpled cigarette pack, everything clicks into place about the events of "End Times" — including how convenient it was that this terrible thing happened to Brock, which turned Jesse back into Walt's ally, at the exact moment Walt needed an ally against Gus — and he goes on the warpath against Saul, Huell and that a-hole Mr. White.
You may disagree with whether Jesse would have put all the pieces together like that, but that's what happened

Jesse wouldn't kill a kid. Not even Walt's. Jr's car wasn't parked there so he's probably at the park sharing ice cream with Louis.
I don't remember seeing much fire damage in Walt's house in the premier. But it was gutted, so it may be minimal.
And no, to the question earlier. He bought the m60 from the same guy he bought the pistol from a while back.

The ricin maybe? Would be fitting.

Am I the only one who thought that "confession" video was fricking dumb?
Nope, it looks so premeditated and staged plus people in the D.E.A. that KNOW Hank would be able to see right through Walt's bullshite.
Plus there are so many holes in Walt's story.
The $177,000 is damning but Marie accepted the money under false pretense.

Not so sure about that. It was an "If you're seeing this, I'm probably dead" confession, so of course it was premeditated.

Such as?

Well the DEA wouldn't know she accepted it under false pretenses.
The "confession" in that video has more corroborating evidence against Hank, than Hank currently has against Walt.
Hank summed up what the video was nicely, it was a threat. If you want to bring me down, you're coming with me.
