I've gone away from clackers. Get too many weight bites. Fish dumb.

Only had a couple, took me a little while to figure out what happened.

I never bought into this, everyone says they are great but I can't imagine they are that much better.

90%+ of the time my C-rig consists of:
20lb. Seaguar flouro main line
15lb. McCoy leader
3/4 oz. weight (lead because they're cheap and you will break off regularly)
2 glass beads
swivel
And either a 2/0 or 3/0 gamagotsu offset wide gap hook

Not sure I can say better, but I like two things about them. Density and lack of deformation. The entry point of lead weights can get really whacked out. I am convinced that can lead to main line wear.

Good to know
Will keep an eye out for that line wear, never thought about it, but I can see your point.

In the Senko dept., you'd do well to have some trick and finesse worms in a green base with fleck of your choice and a rootbeer/pumpkin base. Whatever you will throw with more confidence. I use tricks for South Carolina Rigs, weightless and whackey. finesse also.

Ill check those out. Wanting to get a spinning setup for finesse/trick worms.
All I have used so far is the watermelon/red senko and it is definately my go-to 100% confidence bait so far.
