Same here. I never got animated during that game. I never screamed, I never paced nervously across the livingroom like I usually do. I just had a severe internal depression from the beginning of that game. Deep down, I had a feeling it was gonna be that way after our first posession. I've never felt that way about an LSU game in my life. I hope and pray to God that I never do again
That game was emotionally disturbing.

I don't think anyone has captured my exact feelings as well as you did with this statement.

JJ spiking the ball in Oxford in 09'. I was sitting in that shitty fricking high school endzone bleacher, watching it all go down. Had to walk back listening to Bears fans who just won their Super Bowl.

Drove back to BR that night.

Seriously, I was laughing at this one. I mean it was a Cruella DeVille type laugh, but a laugh nonetheless. IIRC, my wife had some poon lined up for me, pending good behavior.

It's hard to actually cockblock yourself, but sometimes, I manage.

God that ride had to be the suck man. Ole Miss should never beat us in anything. Well, maybe talent per capita. Outside of that, nothing.

And that super bowl comment is spot. freakin. on.

No team in the history of sport can so regularly stink, but rise to a new level of play more consistently against the same team as Ole Miss does with us. It's maddening really. I no longer ever count this game as an auto win. They can say egg bowl all they want, but to a man, they'd much prefer to beat us that State. I don't care what they tell you.

Edit: Here's why imo. They like to pretend that they are on par with us. Ole Miss and Oxford houses the greatest population of pretenders since Chrissie Hynde had a band. They have lied to themselves for so long, and have considered late 60's history as "recent" for so long, that they actually believe the programs are on par with one another. And, once every 365, they get a chance to prove it. They don't actually win against us very much, but my gawd, they've been close in so many games.

Tennessee & 1/9 were truly the only times I've ever actually gotten truly frustrated, it's a game...

Ole Miss clock management I actually didn't get to watch because I had to go watch a family members football game, but followed it on my phone

Tennessee was just a shite show.

1/9 I was with a cowboy fan and he just kept saying dude I know how it feels

Bama in 09 ended with a sand wedge in my closet door bc of the refs, ole miss in 09 I was livid and screaming for an hour over how dumb miles is.

1/9/12 during fourth quarter I stormed out of the bar ran to the river then walked back. I was pushing bama fans trying to get a reaction out of them. When I finally found my friends I dropped 80 on a cab to take us to metry bc I just wanted out of the city

1/9/2012 no doubt

Was watching the game at Happy's
Was pretty drunk from drinking since I left work at 2:30 that day
Took cab home alone after third quarter
Zipper got stuck on jeans and ripped them in half trying to get them off when I got home

For many posters, this site is not about sharing info/opinions of lsu football. It's a daily opportunity to hide behind the safety of a monitor from hundreds of miles away, just to play message board badass. Every response must be a vulgarity filled, smart arse remark just to berate someone else. It makes them feel better about themselves. Ironic that were having this thread after your public stoning by some rantards.

not really a meltdown (since the game was over early), but the Miami game in '88 (my first game in TS) was pretty lousy...both on the field and off.

This years CWS was pretty rough on me as well as the bama game. I walked back to the fraternity house, packed a bowl, and chilled all night. if I wouldn't have smoked it could have gotten bad

My worse experience was 1/9 even though it was an internal meltdown. As I sat on row 7 of the student section for the final game of LSUs historic season, something died inside of me. My childhood love of LSU Football died. After spending so much money going to every game but 2 that year and wanting us to win so bad, I realized as I watched the halftime show that it was over. I spent the second half in a daze only to laugh with amazement when JJ shuffled passed my sanity away. I stayed to the bitter end because my gf at the time insisted on getting our money's worth. Walking back to the hotel was the most surreal experience. It was like a dream in a movie when everyone is moving fast and blurry and you are slowly walking through the chaos. I never cursed or yelled after the game. With a blank stare I calmly walked back to the hotel and went to sleep.

Since that day, I don't get that upset with LSU losses. I think I have accepted that 1/9 was the worse loss possible and nothing can top it. When I had friends losing it after last year's Bama loss, I just thought to myself it could be worse.... You could have spend way too much money to sit on row 7 and die on the inside.

This is eerily similar to my feelings as well.

Nick Saban took my soul that horrible evening in the superdome. And He still has it.

I was at that game as well. It was the only LSU game I have ever attended, and it appeared that LSU was on an anesthetic for most of the game. I was, however, more angry at the officiating than I was at the coaching. It was as if Joe Pa was being given a retirement present...

This is no. 1 for me as well... I was actaully pissed that we won.

The Tenn MNF game is up there, too. Clausen just threw 5 yd outs all the way to victory and we couldn't do shat about it.

NCG vs. Bama, pretty bad

Been watching lsu since the being back the magic game in 95. Worst was UT 2010. I didn't even know we won because I ran out to the backyard during a party to be all pissed off. No one else at the party even watches football so they didn't know what the hell my deal was. When some kid came out to tell me we had won ..... I didn't even believe him. Lol
