I have run small rifle primers in pistol calibers when I've had a surplus...
If that were the case, you would've known to do this on your youtube tutorial. You obviously just read what I posted and regurgitated it.

Excuse me for being an a-hole for asking, but what are your reasons for this? Why was it ok for you to do, but not him?

"Do as I say, not as I do..."

Heard this for years from my pops and use it to my kids too. I can take educated risks that they are not educated enough to do themselves.

You don't need to asked to be excused. You're doing a fine job already.

I had a bunch of left over bullets and powder after Sandy Hook happened and had a surplus of primers for my 223 loads. I wanted to load 9mm so I used them.

My videos were made pre-Sandy Hook and I had not done it before. I didn't want to give advice on something I had never done before.

Xenon said it well. I figured it wouldn't be a problem but I wanted to go "by the book" and suggest he not do it.
