Uhh, this was still USC in 2006 - they weren't losing the early part of their 2006 schedule...in fact, Losing to Oregon State was a massive upset.
I'm fairly confident..."the pressure being off" wasn't something that ever happened at USC at that time...when they were the target of everyone.

there are a lot more flaws in that shitty logic than just the pressure being off
