I just bought the Lansky diamond kit with an additional sapphire stone, ultra fine stone, leather strop, clamp mount and a bar of green oxide(?) stropping compound...I'd like to have tried the newer crystalline diamond stropping sprays but that sh!t is outrageously expensive @ $75.00

I got the Sharpmaker nd used it for the first time last night. I spent 20 mins on the rough stone and 15 on the fine. Sharp pocket knife hat shaved half my thigh last night and most of my forearm today at work.
I needed to spend more time with the rough stone (it's not that rough) and get a super fine stone to finish with.
My dad my FIL will both be getting one or Christmas this year.
