Are there two restaurants at Houmas House? Maybe Latil's Landing and something else? Someone told me there were two and only one was good. My GF wants to go tomorrow night and I'm trying to make sure the good one will be open. Thanks!

I think there's one for lunch. Not sure. Check the website. People rave over the dinners there, but I haven't heard much about lunch.

The lunch is Burnside something, dinner is in the main home. Go early, I like to get there about an hour early. Sit in the turtle bar or the new tea room or wander around the grounds...

Houmas House has two restaurants, about to open a third. Café Burnside is open for lunch 7 days a week. It's located in the big brick pavilion behind the mansion. Menu Here: LINK
Latil's Landing is open for dinner Wed-Sat and is very high end dining. This restaurant is located in the original 1775 mansion. Menu Here:

The new restaurant is the Carriage House. It isn't open yet but will be later this Fall. It will serve breakfast for the guests staying overnight in the new cottages (21 rooms) and will serve Afternoon Tea from 2-4:30 daily. And it will serve dinner 7 nights a week and will have a less expensive menu than Latil's Landing. Menus are all being developed now. Friend them on Facebook to keep up.
