Carriage House Menu
Here's the menu for the Carriage House. I've eaten there and it is very good. Different from Latil's and different from their lunch at Café Burnside.

I had the Buffalo steak, my wife had the Shrimp Aubergine, and my kids got the Grouper and the Chicken. Every entrée was truly amazing. This restaurant is so different from Latil's I don't think it will hurt their business. It's a different atmosphere all together. We were also told they would serve afternoon tea 7 days a week as well. I'll have to see what that's all about too. Everything HH does is first class.

We went to the new restaurant at Houmas House last night, The Carriage House. The menu was awesome and is completely new. It's open every night for dinner. I highly suggest you try it out. Here's a link to the menu: LINK Dinner Menu

Houmas House has two restaurants, about to open a third. Café Burnside is open for lunch 7 days a week. It's located in the big brick pavilion behind the mansion. Menu Here: LINK

Latil's Landing is open for dinner Wed-Sat and is very high end dining. This restaurant is located in the original 1775 mansion. Menu Here:

The new restaurant is the Carriage House. It isn't open yet but will be later this Fall. It will serve breakfast for the guests staying overnight in the new cottages (21 rooms) and will serve Afternoon Tea from 2-4:30 daily. And it will serve dinner 7 nights a week and will have a less expensive menu than Latil's Landing. Menus are all being developed now. Friend them on Facebook to keep up.

They just posted an update on their Facebook page about the cottages. They are open. Go check it out to see the description, etc.
Depends what type of benefit plan you have. Some family out of pocket amounts are per family ( in aggregate) and some are based on the number of individual members meeting the individual amount (for example, 2 or 3 member maximum). It should be stated on your policy or in the contract booklet you received with the policy.

I didn't see that one coming. Sit Marshawn Lynch, you say?

who to start? pick 3

D. thomas, Ridley, Lynch or VJax. Standard scoring.
Houmas House has started construction on the third restaurant. The foundation is poured and it's being framed up as we speak. It will also serve as an additional ballroom. The Inn at Houmas House will have 22 rooms in the first phase. Some will be suites, some will be single rooms--all extrememly luxurious and very high end. Besides weddings, the targeted audience will be the international visitor mostly from the UK, Canada, France, and Germany. Contracts are already in place to fill these rooms during the week in 2013. The Steamboat overlook is part of a Federal Grant applied for and is estimated to be complete by the end of 2013. Currently, 8 addtional acres of gardens have been added and a small amphitheatre is underway. If you haven't been to Houmas House lately to see all the additions, you should. It's truly impressive.

re: Lease to own (lease/purchase)

I have heard the same, that very few make it to closing. If the seller is fine with not selling, it seems like a great deal.

C, can I get in contact with your family? I have several questions regarding the option and the rent credits. Thanks a bunch.

Lease to own (lease/purchase)

Posted by beckatlsu on 8/7/10 at 10:32 am
Anyone here have experience with a lease to own? We have a rental property that we've recently considered selling, until we were approached about a lease to own. From what I've read, it seems like a good deal unless we have our hearts set on selling. If we are not opposed to leasing and would consider selling at a later date, then why not enter into a lease to own? It seems the worst that could happen is the tenant deciding to walk away after the lease is up. Am I missing anything else? Talk me out of it...
Thanks for the info!
