I think they will come much closer to challenging ESPN than CBS Sports or NBC Sports has come.
CBS/NBC's problem is that they didn't have anything to bring viewers over. People went for a week because they hated ESPN, but they had nothing to keep them there. They didn't have live sports that people were interested in.
FS1 will have CFB, NASCAR, golf, MLB, MMA, and more. If they stick to covering actual sports and stay away from hyping stupid stuff like ESPN does, they will become the popular alternative to ESPN by next year.
