Kinda wish all these # passing downs will just stop.

Don't see it on the roster, then there is your answer.
It isn't a thing.

Thought it was retired like Mathieu's dealer.

A lot of bitching in this thread.

I'm a fan of the 18 tradition, but number 7 is no tradition. That was just Tyrann wanting to follow in pp7 footsteps.

I agree for the most part...but some recent and upcoming recruits have latched on the #7 fame/infamy (for lack of a better description) in large part to the on-field success of PP and TM. Like it or not, the #7 *does* mean something to them. A certain segment of fans might not give a frick, but let's not pretend that the number means *nothing* in regards to LSU's pull with top ranked defensive recruits.

This is why it's important: Pp7 last year after we beat a&m he carried mathieu on his shoulders and passed the number down to him. Next year he's a heisman finalist. That's how traditions start. #dbu

I guess if it gets repeated enough times on here then it becomes true...

Probably Rashard Robinson.
An incoming freshman...so there...it's not a tradition

Well when you think about 7 has had better talent over the years then 18. Not just tm and pp,

Some of you frickers thinking #7 began with PP are just..
