Unfortunately there is not much you can do until you can find something else.
Sounds pretty fishy from the company you started with.
For now smile, eat shite so you can pay the bills, and find something else.

I talked it over with the manager and explained that I would have never even taken the job had I known the schedule was not M-F. He assured me it would be M-F but that some weekends may be required. I'm satisfied with that for now but will be actively seeking new employment anyway. Just getting a bad vibe from the supervisors as in I think they're full of shite and I'm going to be working more weekends than I want. Was also told that while this company observes all major holidays, we're expected to work them. Again something else that was not told to me. Really wish this would have been explained to me before I quit my old job. I wouldnt have quit. More money is not worth not seeing my family, having no life etc.

How exactly does that work - posters on the wall and cupcakes in the break room?

Write it off as a lesson learned and you'll know better what to ask the next time around.
