No offense to Hardeman, but comparing him to Mathieu was laughable all along

Comparing almost anyone to Mathieu is laughable. His instincts are rare as hell.

Brown and Hootie have been locks.. It means Chark and Battle are legit LSU caliber DBs in the eyes of the coaches.

He's got some legit offers. The dangers of early commitments with no early signing period. The numbers don't always add up for the staff, or something changes for the recruit.

I think he'll make someone a good one though.

From what I read there was some miscommunication between Coach Mac and Coach Wilson. Mac wanted the kid and offered him without Frank's approval. Then Mac went to Miles' office and introduced him as commit and Miles thought he had Frank's approval as well and accepted the commit.

I do feel bad for Hardeman. Recruiting can be brutal. I was looking at what was left on the recruiting board and who we had currently committed. Depending on how the class plays out I hope the coaches will be open to gray shirting some of the current commits. There are much better players (than those we have committed) still available at their respective positions. All this assumes LSU can finish strong. Hopefully they will.

Not really. The difference between them and other recruits is barely anything. There's nobody currently committed that we should replace.

That's the only thing that makes sense.

We friggin blew it. No biggie, mistakes happens.

Wish Hardeman all the best and LSU is very, very lucky the young man appears humble and full of character.

Sounds too fricked up to be the case. You would think a major program would be on the same page with these kind of offers.

He was told to look elsewhere. Yes, many decommits are because the kid wants to go somewhere else. This was not the case one bit with Hardeman. He was told to explore other options by the coaching staff. He has been recruiting kids hard to LSU the last year, he was not going to decommit on his own.

ok where did you hear this? Do you know him? Someone on the staff? I'm not arguing with you, but this sounds pretty matter-of-fact, and I'm not sure it is entirely true.

247 reporting that he has been in contact with Oregon for awhile, so the official offer story seems suspect.
