Yea, what's said in the game is the same as someone using a racial slur in public On video.

Id imagine a football player is much more aware of his words when he is playing football than he is plastered out of his mind.

Because you're asking a white guy to line up to a black guy and co exist.

You're seeing something caught on video; it reflects poorly the Eagles; the employer.

Infidelity is not the same. It doesn't influence the team dynamic. It's not something that is embarrassing to the team like something caught on video like this. Player A may or may not have cheated on his wife. Who knows why they got divorced??? It's not exactly easily proven

I agree with you more than disagree with you on this, but I don't think they should cut him.

He apologized and one of the team's pre-eminent players says he's forgiven.

But yes, fined, for sure.

What if Player A who cheated on his wife, cheated on his wife with the wife of Player B who happens to play on the same team?

I wonder what the team thinks of Vick forgiving him?

Being the QB I'm sure he is somewhat respected. But does he have the credibility ? After what he has done, if he doesn't forgive someone, he'd be kind of an a-hole.

I'm not sure he speaks for the whole team.

Commissioner Roger Goodell said the league will not take further action against Eagles WR Riley Cooper. Cooper was caught on video using a racial slur at a Kenny Chesney concert. He was apparently upset with a security guard for not letting him backstage. Goodell's use of the term "further action" means the Eagles have already disciplined Cooper in some way. We have not yet heard about any suspensions, just sensitivity training and a fine. Per the CBA, teams and the league can't both punish a player for the same offense.

I'm sure it has happened before and affects the dynamic between the 2 players.

It really wouldn't reflect bad on the team because it would be kept in house

He used to be really popular in the locker room, but not sure anymore.

I think guys generally like him.

But yeah, I'm sure there are guys on the team that would say he doesn't speak for me.

Kelly has a pretty solid track record for discipline going back to Oregon, so I imagine he'll take the temperature of the situation and dole out punishment as he sees fit. Fines and maybe a suspension.

NFL players won't have a problem because they know differences are settled on the field.

No fines, penalties or suspensions necessary. He's gonna get punished on the field.

What's your point?? Have you ever heard a white guy say "I'll fight every N*****"... at a damn Country Music concert at that!!

That's over the top. Suspension or not. Cooper is a marked man.

What point are you trying to make?

The NFL didn't fine Cooper, the Eagles did. You're being delibrately obtuse if you can't determine the differences between the 2 scenarios.

Fine? Sure. Suspended? Hell no. Of course, on PTI, they were shocked and said he must be suspended.
