no i specifically remember ESPN pre game stuff saying that a loss wouldn't have knocked LSU out because they were on the road. but it could hurt bama being at home.

What, you didn't like the way I phrased it?

even so, i don't think we make the NC if we lose. they (media/talking heads) would talk us out of the game no matter our case.

So despite the media/talking heads saying before the game that LSU would still be okay if they lost, they would have changed their minds if LSU had lost?

The media wanted a rematch before the game was even played. I don't know why, but they did. If LSU had lost 9-6 in over time on the road to the #2 team in the country, there's no logical reason to think the narrative would change.

Well, the season wasn't over, so yeah, they probably would have changed their minds.

They said a home loss would hurt Bama and it didn't, so why do you take what they said as fact??

Hell, we WON and the media wasn't impressed. Bama didn't even drop a spot in the polls and all we heard about was how Bama outgained us, the punt hit the wire, Bama's FG kicker lost the game blah blah blah.

Zero percent chance we get over OSU if the game played out the same with Bama winning in OT.

The media saw it as our O not being able to attack Bama's D, and Bama missing several FG opportunities that, if made, would have given Bama a comfortable win.

Even the media is right sometimes I suppose
