In the minds of most idiots absolutely, though they'll never come right out and say that.
But they focus on that one loss more than any of the milestone wins of that amazing season.
They will never get over the fact that we lost a game after outplaying our limitations throughout the season.
The 2011 team was a victim of it's own success.
I, for one, still think it is the most remarkable season in my LSU watching history. Easily. Only one win decided by less than 13 points.
Ended on a down note, obviously. But still my favorite season. 13-0 SEC Champs beating Big East and Pac champs and #2 team in country away from home and blowout win in SECCG.
Never would have predicted that before the season.

FIFY. And agree..
As an LSU fan I know and remember all of the amazing things that were accomplished that season.
Unfortunately I think the national impression is LSU got destroyed by bama after a pretty good season.
Wonder if that plays into a recruit's thought process at all or if there is any residual "voodoo" on the team.
That wouldn't be there otherwise.
But, yes, an incredible season!
Certainly want that win this year!
Wonder if they'll print shirts that say...
"4 years = 3 national championships and 3 losses to LSU."

With Les bashers, and JJ vs JLee controversy needing no additional fodder the way the game played out fuelled the negativity. Not to mention Bama and Saban in the equation.

Awesome season. soured only by people wallowing in misery.
Still looking for the poster LSU released about the regular season.
- the way team gelled after the pre-season fiasco
- pun returns!
- kick-off coverage
- long TDs
- honey badger
- DBU
It was a season full of highlights.

LSU averaged a 27 point margin of victory in SEC play that year.
I would like to think differently but that may NEVER happen again in our lifetime.
