Beloved Brown not to be cleared?

More on the Bealoved Brown/Tony Brown situation
We posted last week an update on the latest with Beaumont Ozen five-star cornerback Tony Brown. Specifically, it was more on his sister, class of 2013 sprinter Bealoved Brown. Bealoved signed to continue her track career at LSU.

We have talked to even more people since then and, while we still cannot get too deep into details, there is some more clarification on the situation. This is info we’ve put together but we’re not guaranteeing anything will happen either. The situation is still in flux for sure.

Basically, it does not appear that Bealoved will be ruled eligible by the NCAA Clearinghouse. The family was previously under the assumption that she was cleared but, after we did some checking, she is not.

We should know sometime around midweek more details on her status with the Clearinghouse.

If Bealoved is not cleared, she will keep take the fall semester to work on getting eligible. She will remain in Beaumont and take the tests again. Most people do not expect it to be a problem that she qualifies at that point.

From talking to a few people, LSU very well may let her out of her LOI if she is not cleared in time for the fall. If not, we are hearing that she will likely just take another semester off instead of enrolling at LSU in January. Obviously it can change but, according to people very close to the situation, if she does not end up at LSU in the fall she will likely not go there at all.

That opens up the possibility for her to go elsewhere. The two destinations we are hearing as the most likely are either A&M or Texas. She also liked Tech during her recruitment but the family is not as high on the Red Raiders as the other two schools.

If Bealoved is not cleared for LSU this year, then it likely impacts her brother as well. We are hearing that Tony will likely not go to LSU if he sister does not end up there in the fall. There are some reasons for this that we cannot get into right now.

If Tony does not go to LSU, A&M is the team to beat. Obviously, if Bealoved ends up at Texas, the Longhorns will be challengers for his services too but we are hearing the Aggies would still be the favorite for his signature. (PERRONI)
