Player should have known, but the agent is payed to remind him of these type of things. Deserved to be fired and have his name put out there just as the player deserves to lose out on the money.

I love how this is the agent's fault. I can assure you that at some point the player knew it was part of the deal. But regardless of anything else, he's a PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL PLAYER - that means you show up for pratice and training sessions. The player was lazy and not committed to being at the top of his game, dumb move.
