He played some short before Castro got called up IIRC. I wouldn't count on Barney at short, though. I'm not giving up on Castro, but I'm not overly encouraged by his progress. There's a lot of talent there and his mistakes are correctable, but we've been saying that for a few years now. He's only 23.

Why would you...dropped 20 points in batting average last year from the year before while putting up 4 more home runs 12 more RBI and stealing 2 more bases.

Cubs asked him to try to hit for more power this year and he's developed a hitch in his swing preventing him from catching up to fastballs...pretty sure that's fixable, or the option always exist to try to get him back to hitting the ball like he used to.

If you're upsed with the defense, yea that's a problem but not something you dump the kid for

he is insanley young, his contract is quite favorable, we'll have him in his prime years and he got called up to early, cut him some slack.

Dump castro...we've got some of the dumbest fans in baseball.
