You definitely need to throw in some kinks or else competent players who know how to read defenses, will just shred you.

I will usually user the safety and play him close to the line no matter what defense I am in so he won't know if I'm coming with a blitz, dropping into cover 2 or 3 or playing straight man. Most people use the safeties as their method of reading the defense. If that's the case and they aren't privy on reading defenses based on other factors, it can really screw the opposing player over.

I'm gonna have to try 3-3-5 more.

Yeah that's what I like about Cover 3. It shows a single high safety, and adds an extra defender against the run.

I'd really like to see EA patch zone defense a bit though. I'd like to see defenders 'pattern match' more. Really frustrating seeing defenders do very little when a receiver is in their area. Still, I think you can play good defense in this game.
