Let's assume that AH was a senior at Florida this year.
He get's charged with 1st degree murder.
I think it's safe to say that he would be kicked off the team. Thus, I have no problem removing the brick.

I get that they are similar cases for the two individuals, but for the schools, the situations are different enough to warrant different responses.
Hernandez is only a few years removed from his college days. OJ was like two decades. It's tough to make OJs murder link back to USC.
It's pretty easy to do that with Hernandez, especially given the fact that he had drug/violence issues at UF and the disciplinary issues that the program had under Meyer.
The bottom line is that UF really doesn't need this crap. There is no upside with having any visible association with Hernandez.

I have to say, while the evidence in this case seems overwhelming the guy has not been convicted yet. I think it is best to actually let the legal process play out before making moves such as this...even if he is a thug POS
I don't think it really matters if he's found guilty or not. The media and the public has already portrayed him to be a thug POS.
People are going to lose their shite if for some crazy reason he's found innocent...not that idea is that far fetched...ie Casey Anthony/OJ/GZ

Stupid. Personal life later on had nothing to do with how good he was at florida

Meh, whatever. Might as well remove the Pouncey's and Urban Meyer for enabling him.

It's a slippery slope to start shunning everyone who's accused of something. See the Duke University lacrosse team.
Well the Hernandez case seems to add up far better than the Duke lacrosse team case. Oh and we KNOW the police actually talked to Hernandez. The Duke lacrosse kids barely even got to share their side of the story.

Dumb. This isn't a testament to him as a human, it is a statement of an accomplishment. Did he stop being an All American? did he stop being someone who worked hard for the University of Florida?
