NFL example: How many Super Bowls has Bill Belichick won since Weis and Crennel left? Answer: 0.

NFL is rife with examples. George Seifert won 2 super bowls and had the #1 offense both years with 2 different QB's. OC first time was Mike Holmgren. OC the second time was Mike Shanahan. Seifert gets the wins/loss record entirely attributed to his coaching career, and incidentally he has the highest winning percentage of all time among coaches...at least he did while with the 49ers.
