Because nothing says "I have confidence in my starting QB who is supposed to be a leader on this team" by yanking him in the redzone for a freshman. LSU just did the QB carousel thing for the last few yrs and succeeded in spite of it.

They lost their very talented DB/nickle that used to play for LSU and their stud DE.

They did however play the most freshmen in the country last year (LSU was 2nd), they return their QB who was suspended last year and under whom they've had success, and lastly they played without their top 3 RBs last year all of which are back.

Gary Patterson is a damn good coach, the game is in Dallas, and anything can happen to open the season.

We should not underestimate this team. Last year was a fluke for them. They literally lost every single one of their offensive playmakers and had the youngest defense in the country.

TCU will do what every other Team has done since Miles arrived. Stack 8 or 9 in the box until 3rd down just like Alabama and everyone else-- until LSU exhibits some success throwing the ball. Finally after 5 years, Miles has wised up enough to bring in someone who can hopefully help him with play calling and execution .(if Miles turns loose of the offense). LSU has absolutley been painfull to watch offensively.--Take a look at statistics and rankings for the LSU offense over the last years. The Alabama game last year should have been ours with the surprising success of the passing game. We can only hope!!
