Also, if you don't win your division and don't play for your conference title, you shouldn't be eligible for the 4-team playoff/BCS title/what-have-you

How does this make any sense at all? Just because you dont play in your conf champ game or win your division, doesnt mean you arent one of the 4 best teams in the country.

But it does mean you're not #1. And the whole point of a playoff is to crown the champion, not crown the 4th best team.

1. Playoffs with conference champions only. It will also prevent the eventual playoff creep the current system is open to (how long until it's 8 teams?). Also, conference championships matter.

2. Don't pay the players, but remove all rules about them receiving payments from boosters or outside sources. As long as the money comes from an outside source, I honestly do not care.

3. Create a Football Major with actual curriculum (kineseology, finance, basic business, communications courses) or at least a Minor. A number of football practices could count as lab hours.

4. Protect student tickets and student sections. This game is supposed to be for their benefit, and schools need to have policies to make sure their student bodies have access to tickets.

5. Let Mike the Tiger loose in the Alabama locker room.
