Truck bed bike rack- recommendations?

I have a small truck (Tacoma) and I am looking for a bed-mounted bike rack for a single road bike.
I'm not a hardcore cross-country cyclist but I have an expensive enough road bike that I'd like to be able to transport safely without sliding around and getting scratched up in the bed. I looked into some of the Yakima ones that are directly behind the cab and can hold multiple but need front wheel removed. I've also seen some side mounted single racks.
Does anyone have experience or recommendations for a certain type/brand? Not looking to break the bank just something functional and easy. TIA!

When I needed to haul azz before Katrina and wanted to take the bike, I just screwed one of those front fork holders to a pice of 2x8 by 18". Strapped it somewhat with bungies and went to Arky with no issues. You will have to mess with the tire of course.

This works. You most likely have indents in the walls of the bed (my old F250 does) where you can drop in a 2x6 with one or more quick release holders attached. Get em cheap at Performance Bicycle shop. Store wheels in front of 2x6. No real need to bungle unless the rear end hops around.

I ordered it off of ebay for around $20. You just pop the front wheel off andlock the fork in. It is very stable. It is mounted in my Ridgeline which has a fiberglass panel in it.

I'm interested as well. I usually just put my bike in my crew cab.
