At its heart the Walking Dead is a Western. Its fitting the Prison is starting to look more and more like a fort.
Think about it all of the characters are western tropes
Rick - The Sheriff
Herschel - The Doc
Daryl - The reformed outlaw deputy
The Walkers - Indians
