Just watched it. Really good opening and I like the direction the season is heading in.

First of all I love the design of the Spirits. It seems as if they were lifted straight out of Miyazaki's imagination. Really looking forward to what other spirits they'll bring us this season.

I feel pretty confident that Korra's uncle is behind all of this. Just seems a bit too coincidental that the spirits just happen to come invade the South and kick the Avatar's, Korra's father, and Tenzin's arse, just for him to put on a show where he defeats the spirit effortlessly. Think he's going to be a well intentioned extremist type antagonist, and Korra opening that portal I think is only going to lead to bad things, since I think Aang would have opened it in his time if it was as Korra's uncle was saying. I think he's being manipulated by a much more powerful spirit and they're just letting him think he has control over them, when he really doesn't. Really curious how the Water Tribe Civil War goes down, since I doubt the South is just going to sit there and take it.

Really liked that new Howard Hughes type guy that Bolin and Asami interact with, as well as the girl twin who is obsessing over Bolin. Really looking forward where they take Jinora this season since they seem to be setting her up for a bigger arc this season.

I also have strong suspicions about the uncle. He's definitely making a power play, just as he did with the Northern Water Tribe.
