Dont think so. But the family lived in Nola....although all of the sons went to Houston Strake Jesuit. The one son ran track for LSU but was killed crossing nicholson by Sports and Freds in 1984-5. The remaining 2 sons run the new Greenville Dodies and its basically a douche bag place. The original Dodies is still on lower Greenville and more family oriented.
For Hotels....in addition to those mentioned, Check:
The Joule
Dallas Marriot City Center
Baileys Uptown
Hotel St Germain ....upscale
Best Western City Place
La Quinta on 75
Radisson on 75
Hotel Lumen
Doubletree Campbell Center
These are all close in and an easy drive or cab to Mckinney ave, Greenville ave or Henderson Ave. which are the main bar areas....and Deep Ellum.....I think the official party is usually in Deep Ellum.

Palomar will be slammed with Texas Tech fans as they are playing SMU that Friday night at SMU, and the hotel is right next to the stadium. Zaza is the cheesiest place in Dallas (which says something).

When I was in college at LSU, Chris, one of the owners, lived next door to me. He was, in fact, enrolled in school and was a member of Delta Chi fraternity. I really don't know if he graduated, but I think that he did.
Also, I like the new Dodie's.
