Uptown was crazy last year with LSU fans. Very fun. There you should do Zaza, Stoneleigh or Crescent. Downtown- Magnolia, Fairmont or W. Do not stay, I repeat, do not stay at the Hyatt House Lincoln Park on 75. It is heinous. The Holiday Inn on 75 just did a $9 million refurbish, so should be good.
For under 30- definitely Uptown/West Village
For shopping- Northpark area
Downtown good, too.
For Oregon game, every area had tons of bars/restaurants and tons of LSU fans.
