No boiling.
Mason jars
Fresh dill
Salt (course salt)
Sugar
Cucumbers
Cayenne
Whole Peppercorns
Fresh chopped Garlic
Bell pepper flakes
Red pepper flakes
Tonys
Get a big arse bowl. Pour 4 cups water, 3 cups vinegar in it. Chop up an entire container of fresh dill, stems and all, dump in. Chop up an entire garlic thing. What is that? 8-10 cloves maybe? Dump in bowl. Dump in cayenne and red pepper flakes. The amount depends On how hot you like them. Peppercorn, maybe a tablespoon of sugar. Tony's. whatever else you want. Sliced onions maybe. Stir it all up.
Cut cucumbers into spears. I had big cucumbers so I cut them in half and then speared. Dump them in the big bowl. Make sure they are all covered. Let sit for 2-3 hours on the counter.
I was thinking that if someone liked extremely hot pickles, jalapeño guts in the bowl mix would be freaking awesome.
Put cucumbers into mason jars. Spoon in liquid from bowl. Put in the fridge for 10 days. Then, Eat!

Sounds good. Where do you get bell pepper flakes? Never seen them.

The flakes are in the spices. They are dehydrated. Next to the red pepper flakes.
I use them alot when I cook. They have a great taste IMHO.

I normally slice 1-2 jalepenos into it when I want some kick. Additionally they pickle and are good too.

I wouldn't keep them for more than a few weeks as there is no safeguard against bacteriological growth with your recipe.

Hmm. I always boil my mixture to draw out the flavors. I may just have to see what this does, though.

They are safe for up to a month. I forgot to mention that.

Tis a good thing to not have forgotten all of my micro-biology.
