Couldn't find the last stat I was looking for, but this is most of it and shows the critical importance of a FG kicker at LSU at least until the offense upgrades.
LSU scored in 2012 on 85% of their red zones chances which was good enough for 36th in the nation and 5th (Georgia was like 34th) in the SEC. That is pretty good considering after all, LSU isn't in the red zone playing New Mexico State. LSU scored 51% of the time on TDs which is NOT very good and the stat I couldn't find now but found at one time I believe was that was like 80th in the nation. Of course what brought it up to 85% was the addition of 34% of the time scoring on FGs. I believe the standard to shoot for is 60 to 65% on TDs so as I said 51% is awfully low.
My point is that FG kicker is incredibly important at LSU as opposed to say an Oregon where they probably don't even consider trying many FGs.![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

Just be patient--LSU is in a great position to wind up signing both CG's.
And this one could prove to be just as significant. A good place kicker as we all know can win some games for a team and is often crucial in winning a national championship.
