Joe Delaney from Haughton. Was set to become one of the NFL's top RBs when he drowned trying to save 2 boys.

Roymon Malcom from Ruston in the early 90s. Great running back and played at Auburn during the time they were in trouble for whatever it was, I've forgotten. A lot of people thought he would be the next Eric Dickerson.

Jessie Myles, Karl Morgan and Andre Brown were three of the best athletes who ever came out of Houma, and they all got too big for their britches literally.

I think so. Also Butler from the same backfield as Hilliard was better than Gary James. Just couldn't get the grades........
I played against all three.....
Wrong

Wasn't there a RB from monroe/ouachita named Jaime that went to ND but was eventually moved to FB. I remember he was highly recruited back in the 90's.

Roymon Malcolm played for Ruston High School back in the early nineties. He looked like former great Eric Dickerson of the Rams and Colts. He signed with Auburn, but after an injury was unable to show his full potential. His high school height and weight was 6-3, 210. Malcolm recently passed away.
quote:
Alley Broussard played for Acadiana High School, and was one of the best big backs I’ve ever seen play ball in Louisiana. He had everything, but he hurt his knee at LSU, and like all backs when you hurt your knee really bad coming out of college that usually shortens your pro career. His high school height and weight was 6-0, 210.

Following his college career, terrance Jones was selected by San Diego in the seventh round of the 1989 NFL draft, but theChargers wanted to move him to defensive back. Jones decided to turn down the Chargers' offer and headed north for the Canadian Football League.

Ridge Turner- You know his story.

This young man lit the entire state up for a great career capping it off with back to back State Championship titles in dominating fashion. He absolutely murdered all of 1A and gave the 4A and 5A teams that SP played hell. In his Junior season, he broke state records with 5,544 yards and 69 Touchdowns passing and running. And this is not adding what he did in the Return game and as a DB. I may have a biased opinion because I played with him, but there is no denying his stats and talents as a top 10 player.

The legend of Toe Nash. He has to be on the top portion of that list.

Nope. Jamie Spencer
That's it I was wrong though he was recruited and played as a fullback. He was a beast in high school.
Damn if we had him blocking for Faulk back in the mid 90's.
quote:
Spencer was Big Man On Campus at Ouachita Parish High School in Monroe, La., where he starred as a fullback last year. With his powerful 6-foot-1-inch frame and thighs the size of a fit man's waist, he bulldozed his way to gain more than 1,300 yards and score 19 touchdowns. Recruiters considered him the best fullback prospect in the country.

Yep Spencer was fullback and their tailback was Jermaine Brown who was also really good.
