No Bird lovers out there? Trailer
IMDb
And Shine (My Favorite) RACH III
IMDb
Also like these that were mentioned:
>Amadeus-great comedy scenes I didn't expect going in
>Control-Riley was very intense during his on stage performances
>Sid & Nancy-depressing, but a great Oldman performance
>Ray-love the off stage "guys in the band" scenes and the ultra smooth womanizing
>The Doors-great music and Kilmer nailing Morrison
>The Buddy Holly Story-proves Busey could have been a good actor (fricking action movies)
>The Glenn Miller Story-Love me some June Allyson, Satchmo & Lionel Hampton appearances, Jimmy Stewart & Harry Morgan (of Dragnet fame when I first saw it) as hipsters!
>Coal Miner's Daughter-not a big country music fan but this is a great story
Should also list: The Benny Goodman Story (IMDb) because Goodman was my dad's favorite musician so I watched it several times w the family, nearly the same movie as TGMS

Unreal performance(s), both actors must have already known piano or learned for the roll. This made me think of The Pianist. Brody doesn't usually knock me out and Polansky is a bit rapey, but it's an incredible film based on the real life of Andrzej Szpilman.
