LSU is SEC's best producer of wide receivers

But, the Tigers have developed more good wide receivers than any school in the Southeastern Conference over the past ten years. LSU has had five wide receivers earn first or second-team All-SEC honors according to the league's coaches.
Those five players are Michael Clayton, Devery Henderson, Dwayne Bowe, Brandon LaFell and Rueben Randle. All of those receivers except for Randle have caught more than 100 passes in the NFL. The other SEC schools together only have nine receivers with triple-digit NFL receptions.

Bowe, Lafell and Randle all played under Miles. Yeah, our passing game has sucked over the past 4 years, but we have still been able to put guys into the NFL. Just the other day our favorite Athlon writer and his co-host were saying they couldn't figure out why LSU continued to get 5-star WRs and that kids would stop coming to LSU. Just last year we had a WR drafted in the second round. None went this season because they weren't eligible to leave for the NFL. If Cameron's offense produces more passing yards in 2013, I believe we will have a good chance to put a few more into the pros.

That's good considering we haven't passed worth a damn since 2008. Hopefully we snap out of it this season.

A prolific passing game does not equate to excellent receivers. Just look at Megatron and Demaryius Thomas from Georgia Tech. The value of LSU receivers significantly increases with their blocking skills.

If Bowe had a steady QB he would be top 5 in the league IMO. He's a monster.

No shite. They and their hands are well rested...

Early Doucet has had a decent career so far too. I don't think he was all SEC though.
