You must have missed it. You were speaking as if he would make it to the majors, so I pointed out he very likely won't.

The kid got way better money than he should have at that spot, he was fortunate that the Sox had that cash leftover after signing the rest of their picks. Although, he was better than a 30th rd pick.

I don't blame an 18 year old for getting dollar bill signs in their eyes. It's tough to turn down that kind of money at 18, and my initial point was it's really not that much money for a college grad in a technical field.

Obviously it's pure speculation on my part, but I bet he will one day regret not going to LSU. I wish him the best, but just my thoughts.

And if he's good enough to make it to the bigs, he still will even if he goes to LSU except he got a free education and won't have burned himself out on the AA bus tour.
