I really am kinda shocked for what he signed for. I was thinking it would take at least 750 k or so. What's crazy to me is that it's not life changing money at all. Even if he gets to the bigs in say an amazing three years he still has to play five more before he gets any kind of decent money.
He could've gone to LSU played three years been a high pick and got a huge life changing signing bonus and an education.
This just makes zero sense.

I blame his parents, no way would I have let my son pass up college for a mere $300K.

Ok so lets assume it takes him an amazing 3 years to make it to the big leagues. The day he is called up he makes major league minimum, which is approx. $440,000 or $2,716 per game pro-rated. I consider that decent money. Lets say it takes him the average 5 years to make it up.. he would be 22/23 making 440k a year..
Or he could have gone to LSU played 3 years and made less money in the draft than he signed for today... Happens all the time.
