You need to keep up with the discussion. It wasn't whether they get drafted but how long they last after that. What was ridiculous? You don't think CJJ can coach? Each to his opinion but I disagree.

1. It's silly to say Jones' coaching would've kept him in the NBA when he coached one NBA player in his entire N. Texas tenure, and he hasn't even played a second in the league yet. Maybe he coached some during his short Memphis tenure but I doubt it was him that put them over the top.
2. More importantly even if Jones could've taught Tyrus the world at LSU that doesn't mean he'd return for a 3rd year when he was a lock to be a high lottery pick after his RFr year.
It's not questioning Jones' coaching at all. You can be a great college coach and have high drafted players who don't last long/don't contribute in the NBA.

do you think CJJ is better than a NBA bball coach who gets way more time to work with a player?
Your line of thinking is flawed. You don't take the risk when you are going to be lottery pick. You realize he's been getting 8-9 million a year?
