THE GOOD

Good synopsis

THE BAD
-95+ % of all games are close (includes good and bad teams)

Without getting out the calculator, I'm pretty sure this is a gross exaggeration.

quote:

-team discipline has been poor with preseason arrests that have negatively affected the season (somewhat common with elite players...happens other places too)

We've had our high profile incidents, but as you note, others have theirs, too. I'd say we're on the low end of the misbehavior scale relative to other schools. I'd be more concerned if nothing was being reported, because that would mean it's all being covered up. 85 college guys will get into a certain amount of trouble, athletes or not, and reported or not. There have been numerous threads on how it was "back in the day," and in a lot of ways, players were more out of control than these guys have ever dreamed of being. The difference is, nowadays when something happens, it's on the Rant within five minutes, often accompanied by video.

quote:

-game day coaching has been poor (strategy and use of players... Has gotten worse over the last 2 years)

Most of this has been due to our QB issues. When the offense is one dimensional, nothing works right. We'll see how the addition of Cam changes things.

quote:

-game day organization and discipline has been poor (penalties, delay of game, busted plays, use of time outs, etc)

Valid criticism. It's not Miles' strong suit, although he has worked on it and gotten better IYAM.

Outside of 2011 81% of SEC games are within 7 points or we have the occasional loss. Most OOC games are against directional state so those should be blowouts.

Finishing the season ranked 126 in Total O? That's hard to do.... and a big tip-off about coaching ability. Isn't he the World's greatest recruiter??
