I was thinking this but didn't want to say it. I used two vials for a 1.068 beer a few weeks ago.

ETA: 3.7 vials per MrMalty.

BMoney shake the hell out of that wort if possible. Need plenty of aeration.


I'd also say to LST that saisons should be very easy for him and a better style to brew with no temperature control because they like to be hotter.

That seems like a lot. Do you make yeast starters?

this is one of the reasons I'm looking into brewing saisons, at least until I have a way to control fermentation temps.

as for the double-pitching conversation, the only time I used two vials was WLP004 Irish Ale, and my OG was 1.084, and it fermented like a champ. Was 1.028 after a week and 1.024 at bottling, with the bourbon added
