So you think we might have a trade in place if the board falls a certain way?
I am not so sure the Pels like McClemore (attitude) or Bennett (fit). So a trade with Minny if McLemore falls or OKC if Bennett falls might already be in the hopper. Rumors link those teams to those players.

I don't understand the Len love.
I've said it before....we already have his skill set in R. Lopez. No need to draft the same player.

I don't like MCW at all.

Len is more like Brook Lopez than Robin. Unlike R. Lopez, the kid has a post game. But you wonder about his toughness and of course his health.

If Copeland can play SF, there is no way Bennett can not play sf!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry, but Len does not show me much in the post. Either he hasnt fully matured or his post game is just THAT bad. Watch these highlights against.....dare i say the school name.....Stony Brook.....and tell me what you think about his post game. It's extremely finesse to me, and he uses his length more than strength. Easily defendable.
Alex Len vs. Stony Brook

If Copeland is actually a target, he is a role player off the bench. Not a starter. And certainly not a lottery pick where you want to come up with a starter. Bennett playing SF full-time or a majority of the time is a bad idea.

Len doesn't always show up...he did against the best teams including Kentucky. He is being touted as a potential #1 overall pick because he has some offensive skills and coordination as a center.
Now, I'm with you. I don't like him much, but he is not comparable to Robin Lopez, who brings nothing offensively.

Len is a very talented offensive player for a guy as young as he is. Solid defensively as well. He can even hit the 16 footer with regularity. Light years ahead of Noel offensively, and thanks to his size, not far off defensively either. Noel will get pushed around his first year no matter how good he is defensively. Anthony Davis is a testament to that as a superior defensive prospect coming out.
MCW will be trash. I watched a couple of his games during the season and I was waiting for him to show me the reason for the hype. Instead, I saw tons of missed shots and mediocre decision making for a guy who has the ball in his hands that much.
I would be ecstatic if McCollum was our pick because he's ready to contribute immediately. In my opinion, he's a more gifted scorer than Lillard was coming out. I wouldn't get ahead of myself though because Lillard was very, very good as a rookie last year and McCollum likely would not be a starter or play with the ball in his hands that often. I just love his versatility though. He can play the 1 or the 2, and possibly the 3 in small ball sets. This team needs more scorers and ball handlers, so picking him is a great selection IMO.

Dont know about the 3, but 1 & 2 are definitely conceivable.
I just see alot of M. Ellis in this guy in the way he creates his own shot. If anything, he could be our microwave player like MT5 or how Mo Williams used to be.

I just gotta go Burke over McCollum.
I just rather some CP over Lillard if we are talking prototypes.
As long as we trade to get another pick in the draft, I'm fine w/ either.

McCollum is closer to Lillard than Burke is to CP3.

Oh, and as for Burke, I couldn't complain there either. He's definitely a starter to me down the road, but his upside is certainly limited by his height and average athleticism. While I love his character and heart, I think he gets too consumed with that at times and ends up forcing ridiculous shots. You're loved if you make them, damned if you don't. In college, he made a few but sometimes I think we look at those moments a little too closely. Burke is not a player that will be head and shoulders above NBA guys like he was at Michigan, so we shouldn't expect him to be like that if he becomes a Pelican.

I still prefer to get more of the true PG than the scoring first PG.
But why are we even discussing this when we already have our PG of the future from the lottery last year.

Because our future doesn't include moving into the ACC
