Got an ME degree. I would say that the degree is the main reason I make what I make. I don't even work in engineering after 3 years with my company, but the degree still pulls it's weight.

Was hired with a BS in Chem Eng and company paid for night school at Tulane for a ME degree in Chem Eng. Salary over the next 34 yrs (now retired after 39 yr career)was way more than without it.
An advanced degree can help in subtle ways in the right field. For example the higher degree gave me an advantage for key project positions and promotions. I'm glad I got it.
