I'm not a big wine person, but this is where I take issue with these "studies" and internet gibberish where they over simplify the point of all wine tasting the same.

There are really bad low priced wines and I think it is worth spending at least $15 and talking with wine people to get something a little better than bland/boring table wine.

Why 15? Why not 16, or 20. What if one is on sale? Is it now a lessor wine cause it is 9.99?

If I was a winemaker I would make my 9.00 wine 19.95. Put a helluva label on it, and make sure to spend money marketing to the liquor folks......everybody wins.
