1948 - (maybe 1949) - LSU vs NC.
I was 10 or 11 years old. I think LSU won, but I was more enthralled by the stadium itself (horseshoe then), Mike the Tiger (the first), and the star NC player, 'Choo-Choo' Justice.
Been an LSU fan ever since. Graduated in 1960 and my granddaughter graduated in 2009. Both of us there for a national championship.
Life is good.
