The Ox also avoids transferred suspension because FA accepts Arsenal's appeal that it was not a clear goal scoring opportunity.
This is stupid. AOC thought it was a clear goal scoring opportunity or he wouldn't have tried to become a keeper.

Wenger stumped by Arsenal's failure to turn up in big games
I'm pretty sure his tactics, specifically the high line, are the reason for our "failure to turn up." Bayern was certainly a big game but we played just fine, all things considered.

This is a pattern, not an outlier.

This is exactly the grey area for me. His action did not in any way stop a clear goal-scoring opportunity because the ball was clearly going wide, which is why the FA accepted Arsenal's appeal and did not impose a suspension on The Ox.
However, Ox could not have known that the ball was going wide, so he clearly acted in a way to prevent a goal from being scored. In his mind, the ball was going in.
My opinion is that the FA is just so embarrassed by what happened with this red card fiasco that they just want to sweep it under the rug and move on.
Personally, I'm beyond excited that both are now able to play against Swansea tomorrow! We desperately need the 3 points and having two of our current first choice available back in the squad is a massive boost.

It's kind of like if you cleary tried to injure an opponent but escaped penalty because the opponent didn't get injured.

it's the right decision. clear goal scoring opportunity is what it is, not what a player thinks it is.
