find someone with a subscription to a TV service that provides NBC Sports Extra. Every Premier League match will be on that. Champions League, i can't remember where fox is putting that this year. i'd imagine FS2Go will be cheaper now that they lost a large chunk of their rights. maybe not.
First half analysis from this friendly. I'm watching as live:
-Rambo is super confident. Been on the ball more than anyone. Ended the half with some ridiculous skill on the right wing (fancy footwork cutting back inside, then a maradona to get to the byine) to put in a cross. few misplaced passes, as with everyone, but his confidence is definitely encouraging.
-Gnabry played wide left and also looked very bright. been on the ball as much as anyone but Rambo. showed good skill, strength, and energy. shanked a couple of shots. had one beautiful bit of control on a long ball that led to a really good goal scoring chance, but he curled it just wide. he was gassed at the end of the half though. BONUS: today is his 18th birthday!
-Akpom is very strong and has good movement. has held up the ball pretty well. not super athletic though, which has been rather obvious in this match. isn't able to really drive at defenders, but has gotten himself into dangerous areas a few times.
-Miquel looks more athletic than I remember him. also looks taller, leaner.
-Jenkinson and Gibbs have pretty much operated as wingers and have been pretty impressive. they've both drifted in on occasion more than they should though, particularly since IDT is crowding the center of the pitch. tactics in a match like this are kind of out the window though...
-The Ox played in the hole. looked pretty good. did very well assisting on our only goal of the first half. been a bit inconsistent though. the goal came on a quick break after a IDT giveaway. not done a lot breaking down their D when they've set a bunch of guys behind the ball.
-Walcott had a nice finish for the goal and a couple nice crosses.
-Per, Arteta, Fabianski have done nothing really. haven't had to.
