If I'm not mistaken, there's still only been 2 homeruns through what, 10 games so far? These are supposed to be the top teams in college baseball. Don't you think there should be more homeruns than that?

I think everyone is jumping to conclusions that the game is ruined or that this isn't baseball.

Baseball has ups and downs...

I mentioned Arizona last year...how much they outscored their opponents and their opponents were looking like this year's "small-ball" opponents by going 0,0,1 in three of their games.

Yet Zona had plenty of offense in TD park? Scoring 28 runs...on their way to the title in 5 games. That's 5.5 runs a game...that's regular baseball.

...and Arizona became the first team ever to score at least 15 runs in every Regional game. They were the first team since Arkansas in 2009 to score 10 or more runs in every Regional game.

Now maybe the ball is different this exact year...but teams can still produce a lot of runs since the bat switch.

bat switch

It isn't just the bat switch. Teams still produce runs all year with the bats. You obviously missed the entire point.

No I think everyone is seeing balls get crushed that don't travel over 380 ft. The only home runs are pulled down the line. I have never seen outfielders play so shallow. The NCAA screwed the pooch with these bats. The game sucks now.

Pitchers have absolutely no fear anymore. In the 90s any hitter could go yard. Now all the pitchers look like aces. There is a happy medium and that is the 2009 bats.
