Because CPM doesn't want to be locked down to small ball. I'm in sort of agreement. We actually bunted more leading up to the CWS. I think CPM is an excellent coach, but I do think he was a littles arrogant going into the tournament. Some of the comments he was making were almost on the side of, "we got this".

They can't play the game one way for 60 some odd games and then change the way they play for the next game. Swinging for the fences got them one run in the UCLA game, and that was enough to win if it weren't for the errors.
