Gooch and Davies are the sad stories of the USMNT. I still get mildly depressed when I think about Davies, especially.

What did y'all think of Eddie Johnson's play? I really wasn't impressed. I felt like his first touch is so bad that when he moved centrally to receive the ball his only option was to go backwards with it.

I didn't think that he played very well, but I don't necessarily think that it was a bad game for him. I think that he performed adequately in DMB's absence, but he's still the same Eddie Johnson who has trouble with teams that are organized and defend well.

I think that he has a limited, but useful, role in the national team, and he'll always be the scourge of CONCACAF's bottom feeders.

Yea. They're both the kind of injuries other major programs could sustain but really hurt an emerging squad program like USMNT.

Ugh, I try not to think of them too much :bah:
